Rojenstad and clan Gerherbt...
The thran of Rojenstad is a predominately farming thran consisting of around 50 families.
Clan Gerherbt consists of around 12-15 families throughout Daaslund with about 5-6 families in Rojenstad itself.
Clan Gerherbt is a relatively poor clan by most standards. The Valhakar bought his position on the thrangaard through viking and his clan is barely able to sustain itself from season to season. The Valhakar has always fancied his ability to play politics but his ability is usually not good enough to win him many political battles. He has found himslef often fighting battles his mouth got him into but his brain cannot win.
From your dealings with the Valhakar you know him to be a overbearing, arrogant and pompous individaul. Who values himself as a important member of the thrangaard and a highly important person with Daaslund.
The clan has a poor name with the Daaslund.

Re: Rojenstad and clan Gerherbt...
What do we know about the Valhakar of Clan Gerherbt?
Is he a viking warrior in his prime, or an old man dreaming of the glory days of his youth?
What does he look like (so we bring back the right guy)? Do any of us know him, or have met him enough to know him on sight?
Does he have any sons that might cause problems?
Is he the type who will obey a summons or rather fight it out?
If any of this is not know to us, I will ask the questions on the main thread.

I haven't been able to find the reference, but wasn't there something about clan Gerherbt and/or Rojenstad in the campaign background? Does Jurri know any recent news or rumors from that area?

Just for reference, Rojansatad is located due south of Ygesdram. It is about 4 leagues (16 kilometers or 10 miles) away. On foot, it is about three - four hours walk (one watch), there, so a two watch round trip.

This brings up an additional question, what is Hershold Gerherbt's relationship to the clanhead, son, brother, nephew, cousin?

I was right the night before you were to leave I had men scour the countryside for anyone leaving. They found Hershold Gerherbt leaving the thranaal. He only needed a little convincing before he told us his Valhakar had given him a message to pass on to the Dagen in Frouby." there is a hint of sadness in his voice.

It is rumoured that in his younger day he was a warrior of some skill, he definately won his way into the thrangaard via viking.
Although to look at him he is certainly not in his prime now.

You have seen him before and all of you will recognise him on sight, a man of average height, slightly overweight, full beard, thinning hair.

He has 4 sons [aged 22], [18], [13] and [7] as to whether or not they are likely to cause trouble that you don't know. If they are like their father and the rest of the clan probably not, but you never can tell.

This is hard to answer. If he thinks himself innocent then he may come with you to clear his name, if he knows he is guilty and know he is for the high jump then he may fight. Like RL police you can't be certain of someones reactions.
Hershold is a nephew to the Valhakar.
Re: Rojenstad and clan Gerherbt...
There might be some confusion - Rojenstad is held by a member of clan Daas not by Gerherbt.
Lodgings will be in the Daas clanhouse - as guests!

What do we know of the Daas who holds Rojenstad anything in particular we would know?
Given that Gerherbt aren't the holder's of the Thran what trade/profession do they engage in, trapping, farming, fishing, herding?
And the papers Madrin is checking they would be those held by the Valhaker of Rojenstad or withing the gerbhert clanhouse?

You know little of the Daas at Rojanstad.
As stated the Gerherbt are farmers.
Madrin will be checking the paperwork held within the thran at Rojanstad, not so much checking up on the Daas there but on the entries made concerning the Gerherbt's.

yep realised it was checking the gerherbt's and not the Daas. I was just trying to things right.
