Re: 6 Peonu 720
Algared looks at the cliff and the torrent of water that issues from the cliff. "Well this looks narrower, but it seems to be more dangerous than where we were. We may be better off back at the previous camp, and spend a day felling a couple of trees to make a crossing and foraging or hunting. Barak take the lead we'll head back towards our previous camp, unless we find a better location for a camp as we decend. Tomorrow we'll either fell some trees near the bank and forage or head further down to ford the way. Either way we'll need to forage, hunt or fish to replenish our stores I'm thinking."

Barak leads the party back to their previous campsite. moving quicker being confident of the route and haeding down hill. When they arrive, he helps Algarad and Jurri set up camp, and then assists Algarad with the fish, Barak demonstrating how to slow roast the trout over an open fire, whilst Kugald and Borygg undertake the customary search for firewood, filling the waterskins, and finding what can be foraged locally.
In the evening, whilst discussing their plans for tommorrow, whether to make a bridge or head down river, we eat our roasted trout with whatever delight Algared can rustle up as a accompaniment. Then we finish making up the camp: waterproofing the shelter with fresh broughs, picking the stones and twigs off the ground where they will lay their sleeping rolls, etc. They listen to edda from Jurri as they check over and repair their gear, before retiring to bed.
The watch order for the night is:-
6th Peonu Watch 6 start: Jurri
6th Peonu Watch 6 Finish: Kugald
7th Peonu Watch 1 start: Algarad
7th Peonu Watch 1 Finish: Barak

As the band re establish their camp, Algared begins to prepare meal he suggest to Barak that he spends what remains of the light of the foraging or fishing with Borryg, And leave the cooking and remainder of the camp set up and gathering firewood to Kugald and Jurri and himself. Roasting the fish Algared seasons the fish and cooks up some vegetable if any remain to accompany the trout. He saves the eggs and mushrooms to have as the morning meal.
Once everything is cooked, eaten and cleaned, with the remaining chores for the camp set up complerted and having checked his equipment Algared withdraws to the edge of the fire's light. Wrapped in his cloak for warmth Algared spends an hour working on improving his affintiy with the ways of the Shek Pvar. Finally he prays to Sarajin giving him thanks for the provision safety provided before going to bed.

Re: 6 Peonu 720
Time: Mid 3rd watch - End 4th watch
The warband turn and head back downstream to their old campsite. Retracing his steps Barak intends to make good time but is somewhat slowed by Algared as he scans the near bank of the river. Algared explains to his companions that he is trying to search for a spot where a tree may be felled across the river and a crossing made.
It is near the end of the 3rd watch when the warband arrives at their old campsite. The firepit is quicly reassembled and Barak sees that a fire is lit, Algared puts the fire to use as he begins to roast the fish, while Kugald begins to setup the shelter once again, he is joined by Barak once the fire is started.
Borygg and Jurri head out in search of some decent firewood. There task seems to be the hardest as the timber is now hidden by the patchy coating of snow that still covers the ground and it is near dark when they return with their last load. Looking at the pile of wood collected it is doubtful that the timber collected will keep the fire going all night.
With the shelter up, the fire going and the fish roasting Borygg heads out to find what forage he can, he returns near sunset with a meagre portion of forage that will barely keep the warband for a meal, Barak heads out with fishing line in hand to see what bounty the river has to offer, but unlike his first efforts on the river this time he returns empty handed.
With the dark beginging to encroach upon the camp and with the camp lit only by the camp fire the warband eat thier share of the roasted fish. The roasted fish makes an enjoyable change from the usual stew that has been dished out and the warband seems to be in an unsually good spirit this evening.

The night warms slightly as the clouds clear from the sky revealing Yael half hidden by shadow as the other half shines brighly from above, the trees hide the constellations from your view. A slight breeze that barely penetrates through the trees blows from the south east when after the cooking utensils have been cleaned and the camp cleared the warband decide that it is time for rest and each retires to their respective sleeping areas that they have prepared earlier with a coating of pine needles to soften the ground below.
Jurri takes his turn on watch as the rest of the warband prepare for sleep. Algared seperates himself from the warband in what is now becoming a common ritual sits under the cover of a spruce tree and spends about a quarter watch meditating, when he has finished the rest of the warband have retired to their beds and only Jurri stands alone taking his turn on watch.
With such a warm night Jurri does not need the fires warmth during the first part of his watch. The wolf howl comes earlier tonight but it is quite distant and does not seem to disturb the sleeping warriors. Clutching his spear Jurri keeps a watch into the darkness as his ears strain for the slightest sound that will reveal danger lurking.
All Jurri's ears reveal are the sounds of the night, the nocturnal wildlife going about their hunt for food. The activity does seem to be higher tonight but the weather does seem to make this normal. As Jurri's watch passes the temperature begins to drop slightly but the drop is not sufficient enough to warrent the building of the fire nor the drawing of his cloak and Jurri's watch passes without incident and he proceeds to wake Kugald for his turn. As Jurri and Kugald exchange the watch the call of a wolf can be heard once again, this is about the fourth or so that Jurri has heard and like the preceeding calls they are quite distant and do not seem to disturb the sleeping members of the warband.
Kugald takes his place on watch and although the night is cool like Jurri before finds little need to stand near the fire for warmth. As the night wears on clouds begin to build in the night sky and the wind now blows from north east. The noises of the night continue but as high Yael approaches the sounds begin to fade, there have been several wolf calls during Kugald's watch none of which have disturbed the sleeping warband and all were distant calls. With the coming of high Yael, Kugald wakes Algared for his turn on watch.
