Sigrun Surenaal (contacts)
Journeyman Mercantyler (Acquaintance 32%)
Laren, the son of the trader Uthelren, in Cherafir. He and Sigrun had a brief flirtation in TR715, but they have seen each other only once since then. Sigrun has fond memories of the boy (now a man), and is eager to return to Cherafir, now that she is to be on her own.
Soldier (Friend 70%)
Horvald Stahler is a watch sergeant in Vulenheim. He and Sigrun became quite close friends many years ago, when she came to seek help from Horvald's father Yanar, harbor master at that time. He sees her as a little sister.
Slave Herdsman (Acquaintance 38%)
Lemaal was a girl that Sigrun and her sister played with as children. That Lemaal was a thrall never really concerned any of them, as youths can quickly forget such things. Her current fate is unknown.
Master Miller (Friend 66%)
Firan Surenaal, a distant cousin, was the millwright of Froyby. He was always amused by Sigrun for some reason, and made sure she got a little extra rye to take back to her family. How he fared in the sack of Froyby is unknown.
Church of Naveh (Enemy)
In the vast markets of Janora (Trierzon), Sigrun's purse was cut by a thief. Sigrun didn't notice this act, but neither did the thief notice the first mate of Sigrun's ship about thirty paces behind them. He knocked the thief over the head, helped Sigrun pick up her spilled coins, and bade her to take something from the thief's purse as compensation. She selected an ugly pendant (see jewelry), as it was obviously more valuable than the few trade coins he had. They returned to the ship and thought no more of the incident...
The thief had taken the pendant from a mid ranking priest of Naveh two nights earlier, and he most certainly wanted it returned. The thief was found after the pendant had headed back to Ivinia. It's doubtful he survived the interrogation, but it's also doubtful he died before revealing that an Ivinian girl had it now. Sigrun is hunted, but the vastness of the ocean has kept her safe for now.

Re: Sigrun Surenaal (contacts)
You can fill in a few details about the ship you served your apprecticeship on too.
Vessel name, size, type (preferably a knarr) and the owners name, captains name, master pilot's name and perhaps a few of the crew.

Re: Sigrun Surenaal (contacts)
The Oceanracer is a 60' knarr owned and captained by Sorli Stahler of Vulenheim. He never really liked the idea of a female pilot's apprentice, but understood the reasons for taking one on, and over the years has had to admit that Sigrun is an excellent pilot.
Sigrun's master, Jarla Stahler, who in turn learned from old Yanar. When he said an old favor was being called in, that was all he needed to know to accept Sigrun as a regular apprentice. She has amazing natural ability and may be a better instinctive pilot than he is.
The crew of 12-16 men has varied over the years, and there have been some who chose not to serve because there was a woman on board ("Bad luck!")... and some who did because there was... The latter were kept in line by the long time first mate, Merivol Baelin. He is fair above all else, judging each only by their skill and effort. As such, he never had a problem with Sigrun being on the ship. He is an enormous man of unmatched strength and as such, had little trouble enforcing the "don't touch Sigrun" policy
