Jurri will hold the scroll case out, either handing it directly to the Daas, to Kugald, or to one of the Daas' retainers (whatever seems most appropriate).
Once the Daas has it, he'll step back and stand to Kugald's left, and slightly behind him.

Eijryk cleaned his face and hair and then combed his hair and beard. He also changed into one of his finer linen tunics before they headed together into the thran to meet the Daas and the Storzar.
When entering the greathall Eijryk declares that he has a message from Guthsa Orbaason to Erling Storzar, and when told to do so he will hand it over to the most appropriate person.

As Jurri produces the scroll case Tersi Trilsten steps forward to take the scroll case. He quietly turns, walks back to where the Daas sits and hands the scroll case over to the Daas. A member of the Storzar's entourage steps forward to collect the message from Eijryk he like Tersi hands it over to the Storzar.
The Storzar holds the scroll case in his hand as he waits for Cunate to open his scroll case. Breaking the seal he removes a parchment and unrolling it he quickly reads the contents, as he reads a smile grows upon his face. When Cunate has finished reading he hands the parchment back to Tersi, then looking at the assembled crowd he say "The King comes to our aid, he gathers his clansmen and sails from Pelyn within the tenday, he sails to Vulenheim and from there he gathers more warriors to his banner before sailing here!" he pauses for a moment then adds "he will be here before Peonu ends!"
Then looking to Erling Storzar he says "Good news?" Erling smiling from the news he has just heard opens his scroll case and taking the parchment he too reads his message. Then turning to Cunate he says "I have news from Vulenheim" pausing for a moment he adds "it confirms your news, the King will be there within the tenday before sailing to war!"
Soon the atmosphere in the hall is improving "Let us celebrate!" he orders soon there are jugs of ale and mead being brought into the hall.

Barak grabs a tankard of ale... and looks around anxiously... what are you susposed to do he wonders, drink it standing up? Can you drink before the king does? Life is so much easier chasing a deer in the hills...

Those gathered in the hall wait patiently as the jugs of ale are ordered and then brought into the hall. As the drinks are brought in so to are tankards to drink from the servants work quickly passing through the assembled mass handing out tankard, the Daas and then the Storzar are first handed tankards they are not empty long as they are quickly filled with mead so the servants working with well praticed teamwork soon work their way through the crowd filling everyones tankard.
Soon the crowd have relaxed the mood as they move about the hall some taking seats to talk of the news.
Cunate and Erling are joined in conversation with several members of the Storzar clan while Tersi joins them in conversation. Madrin has wandered off to join several other members of the Trilsten clan while the several of the huscarls remain on watch although they do seem to be quite relaxed.
Thaldirs enters the room and makes his way towards the warband "Well met, travellers and welcome home!" his voice resounds through the hall then smiling he adds "I see you have picked up a few new members of your throng" offering his hand to each in turn he offers his greetings introducing himself to the new members of the warband "I am Thaldirs Daas, leader of our Jarl's huscarls"

Kugald takes a tankard of mead, pauses to wait for the Daas to start drinking and then drinks up.
"Well met Thaldirs! So, this is good news. The King and other Jarls will be coming to assist us in just a tenday or so. What do you think? Do you have any idea what the Jarl has planned for us next?"

Thaldirs replies "If the last few days are anything to go by, every Daas man is taking his turn with a few days in Abderheim patrolling the border against the Ibanvaalers!" he smiles briefly before adding "but who knows what he has in mind for you" slapping Kugald on the shoulder "I am sure the thrangaard will want to meet soon too"
Drinking from his tankard Thaldirs says "So what other news do your bear?"

"It's an honour to meet you Thaldirs Daas.", Eijryk nods and greets the huscarl right after he has swallowed his first mouth of ale, "My name is Eijryk of clan Orbaason from Vulenheim."
He turns to his new companions standing beside him "I guess I shall stay here then and await my uncle until he and the King arrives." Turning to Kugald he continues "If there is anything you think I may help with in preparation for the war I'm at your service until my uncle come and tells me otherwise. As you know my main skills are at treating the wounded and sick. I don't know if there much of those after your previous campaign. However there must be many other things that needs preparation. Gathering herbs and preparing medicines might be one of them."

Barak replies to Thaldis, "I have not much news. The war does not appear to have reach the ears, or at least the concern, of those further to the north and west. The King may sail to our aid, but I doubt his people care much one way or the other from what can be heard in market and meadhall."

Time: Mid 5th watch
The ale and mead continues to flow as servants meander through the growing crowd ensuring that tankards are refilled. The crowd has grown considerably as you notice Hilsen Trens, Skorri Daas and many of the Daas craftsmen amid the crowd. Also seen in the ever growing crowd is Bjarri Orbaason, Ulauf Nildrom and Hervold Jela.
As the warband stands chatting with Thaldirs chatting about more sedate matters concerning the thran, Cunate stands and makes to leave the hall you hear him says as he leaves "Time to let the thrangaard know of this new turn of events".
With the Daas gone it does not seem to deter the others from continuing to entertain themselves....

Re: 20 Peonu 720
As the festivities continues you begin to draw a crowd as those new arrivals to the hall seem to draw to you, they ask of your journey and then for news from Pelyn or Vulenheim. Some ask if you meet such and such while you were in either town and if you did how they were. It is during this time that Eirjyk is introduced to Bjarri Orbaason.
Skorri meets with the group and offers some conversation more to do with trade and money than with any other interest in your warband, Borygg offers him some polite conversation with regards to his questions but otherwise Skorri seems to be left alone.
Of note the group is asked of the welfare of a Yanar Stahler by Ulauf Nildrom.
Otherwise the conversation ebbs and flows around the warband sometimes they find themselves deeply involved in the conversation and at other times they seem to be mere spectators while those with higher status converse around them.
It is around the end of the 5th watch when tables are moved by servants to prepare for the evening meal. The warband is now seperated as Kugald is grabbed by Jorri Daas, Borygg and Eirjyk are seated with Bjarri Orbaason, Algared and his father Skorri find a place near the high table to seat. Skorri seemed to be more interested in gaining a seat with Borygg but unable to wrestle him away from Bjarri Skorri settles for the company of his son. There is little said between them while they await the food to be served.
Bjarni and Sigrun seem to have struck up a friendship with Ulauf and he invites them to sit with him during the meal. Zeoul is invited by Tersi and Madrin Trilsten to take his meal with them. Jurri takes his place at the table reserved for the skald and joins those seated next to him in quiet conversation.
Ale and mead continues to be served as you wait for the food to be served. Soon several large pots are brought into the hall and ladels of a thick pottage is served up to each member ensuring those of higher status are fed first all the way through to those of lesser status but everyone is soon fed and loaves of rye bread are also provided to the diners.
The meal soon concludeds as the plates are cleaned away, the ale and mead continue to be served to everyone as jugs are continually refilled as they are emptied and brought back out and placed upon the tables for those present to serve themselves.

Bjarni will state to anyone that listens that this board is as generous as that of the King's in Pelyn. If war is coming he will get drunk as a lord now he has the chance.

Algared joins the festivities, overall despite his pessimism the news to the Daas is encouraging. That the Storzar received similar news indicates that the king had already been planning to act, at least that is what Algared deduces rightly or wrongly. None the less he keeps his council to himself. And knows that it is likely that soon the small band will be asked to patrol the or take a turn at watch. Algared merely hopes that the upper crossing they had found and forded has now been guarded.

Eijryk greets his clan relative with warmth and spends most of the evening talking to him, asking about his branch of the clan as well as telling stories of his own. He asks what the Daas and the Storzar are like, and what Bjarri thinks may happen now with all the forces gathered and the King on his way.
Eijryk eats and drinks and enjoys the feast in a happy mood.

Re: 20 Peonu 720
Borygg is a bit suspicious about Skorri's questions and attention because Skorri has always been unfriendly toward him in the past. Borygg came to Ygesdram as an agent of Lunt Storzar, a mercantyler from Froyaheim, to look into setting up a branch of Lunt's trading business. Skorri has not been happy about the idea of another mercantyler coming to town. Since Lunt's business is/was based in Froyaheim, now in Ibanvaaler hands, Borygg is essentially without an employer. He is guessing that Skorri is fishing for any information about Lunt's business or about Borygg's plans for the future. Borygg will offer polite conversation but not say much of anything about the issue.GM wrote:Skorri meets with the group and offers some conversation more to do with trade and money than with any other interest in your warband, Borygg offers him some polite conversation with regards to his questions but otherwise Skorri seems to be left alone.

With the ale and mead flowing freely the warriors are easily able to drink their fill. Each taking the opportunity to drink to excess. The toll of the last month finally being washed away.
The meal is filling and quite tasty and there is ample to sate even Bjarni's hunger.
The warmth from the hearth fire is pleasing and the smoke from the fire sits high amid the roof with its familiar smells and those of the thran bring each of you a sort of comfort that has not been felt for some time. Even the atmosphere in the hall has changed perhaps it is the news of the Kings arrival that has changed the mood or perhaps it is something else altogther different.
Jurri flits through the crowd entertaining the small groups of men in between his bigger performances. He moves through the crowd joining in with each group offering a story or two before moving off to the next group. With each new group he obtains a fresh tankard of ale or mead. So that with each passing hour he becomes more and more drunk.
Eirjyk spends the evening in quiet conversation with Bjarri Orbaason as they discuss the different branches of the clan. During this conversation they realise that they are familiar with a few of the same people. By the end of the night both Bjarri and Eirjyk have both had too much to drink. Even Jurri's visits do little to distract them from their conversation.
Algared, Borygg and Skorri spend the night seated at one of the tables the discussion covers many topics, mostly concerning their trip. Skorri asks Borygg on several occassions about his business in Ygesdram but Borygg deflects these attempts at conversation and turns them back on to topics about the thran. Skorri even seems to be more fatherly towards his son. He chats with both of the warriors and does not seem to mind that blatent changes of topic by Borygg. The three men are often joined by Jurri through the night and the drink flows feely with each taking more than his share.
Bjarni and Sigrun sit with Ulauf as they discuss boats, the sea and distant ports all night.
Kugald spends the night chatting with Jorri Daas and other members of his clan. The conversation is light as Kugald is asked to retell of his travels and adventures like the others the ale and mead is plentiful and everyone at his table takes their fill. Kugald is often asked by those at his table if he met the King when they took the message to his hall and other questions about the Kings hospitality considering they were representing the Daas and the Storzar. This group too is joined on several occassions by Jurri as he moves from group to group.
Barak spends his night in conversation with Sordi and Jersi Daas their conversation mainly centres on the hunters travels as well. Even Jabor Daas joins the group. Jurri only appears with this group once during the night but he entertains those present with his stories and sagas while doing so. Jurri leaves the table with everyone smiling and congratulating him on his story after retelling his work in progress of the warbands adventures.

During the evening Barak tried not to get wasted. He also makes time to ask Jabor if he is willing to sell Gelda yet.
When the party breaks up, Barak heads back to the Farvie and makes himself comfortable for the night.

If not accepted, he will look for Kugald and see if he can help him find somewhere to sleep for the night.
