To his comrades Bjarni will say "That is two who say the King intends to use his force to drive the enemy from Menglana. We need to be more certain so a steady row down fjord until we meet someone who knows. Pilot, these clans that have not answered the King's call to arms? Are they on our route?"

The Pilot replies "My guess is that those fisherfolk are from Maarslund to the north east. The Valhakar owes her allegiance to the Daas of Myna and while he sits upon the fence trying to bring a peace between the Ibanvaalers and our King she will offer no support to us"

By midday with the crew working the oars your boat leaves the narrows of the Liem River and enters the Voldfjord proper.

The crew continues to pull the boat through the water, the slap of the oars becoming some how hypnotic. There is little in the way of river traffic heading south down the Leim River, the crew spot several other vessels in the distance but none approach as they head for distant ports.
