Algared enters the mead-hall, and speaks to his friends, "Should a messenger from the Daas arrive I will be at my Father Skorri's. It seems he has some urgent concerns. I'm interested to find out what troubles him so that he so urgently requires me." Algared then leaves the meadhall and heads to his father's.

Sometime later Algared returns and finding Borryg and the others says says, "Seems, I'm sentenced to an evening with Skorri," Something Algared doesn't seem pleased about, "my invitation for the feast tomorrow was sent there. So I also need to find some clothes that are suitable attire.. not to mention I am in need of sundry other items."

Looking at Svardkell, Algared asks to see the worsted wool tunic from Stee's belongings, "Depending on size that tunic will serve one of us for the feast, as would the cloak they were both of a fine quality. No doubt, it would be better to sell his belongings for coin if possible and that really means the clothes should be offered first either to Skorri or the Clotheir if we will not use them. At least that way we can gather a purse for his kin if he had any... as it is I'll be headed to that clothier as well. We can take the garments their for a valuation and sale. We can at least do with some fresh bandages, but some oil for our leathers and weapons and soaps for us likely wouldn't go astray either.

"Indeed it may fit you... it would certainly bury me," Algared says with a chuckle, "But our desire is to see that Stee's kin are taken care of and if he had no kin, then ensuring that all share in the proceeds. The tunic there would likely easily fetch 150dram, being blue worsted wool and as you see nicely embroidered with red and yellow as well. Of course it is expensive but it is suitable for a feasting or when visiting a woman's clan to seek her as a bride.... would you part with 150dram to own it. There is also the other tunic and woolen leggings you may wish to acquire to replace your wardrobe... that fine tunic, the braided belt to match along with the red woolen tunic and leggings would cost you 270dram... your gold coin is roughly worth 320dram... so if the tunic fits, those items and 50 dram of silver in exchange for your gold coin. And if Stee doesn't have kin then you'll stand to gain another 53dram back as well for your share."

Algared pauses briefly, feeling he is sounding like Skorri, "You try the tunic if you feel it looks to be your size and consider the exchange. As it is I need to head off to that Clothier. The feast is tomorrow night so I've still time to head there today."

Post by GM Bjarni holds the garment to check for size and says "Just as well I suppose" as the tunic is way to small to fit huge sailor

"Well, I did say if it fits," Algared says with a half chuckle, "at least you wont feel you you missed out though."
As Algared speaks he opens his chest retrieves the items he will need. "Before I head off to the Clothier though, I want to take the that sealed bottle to the apothecary, he may know what the bottle contains without having to break the seal, and gather a few other items I need. You are more than welcome to join me, though if you wish to remain here to clean and mend your equipment and care for your leathers I've some oil's for cleaning that you can use."

Algared places the bandages into his chest, and returns the sealed bottle, "Well we are still none the wiser about the contents of the sealed bottle, but at least we'll have some fresh bandages if needed".

Algared retrieves the tunic once more, "I'll take this to Orebro as well maybe the clothier as well."

Glancing outside Algared says, "Well, it'll be unlikely I'll be back before dark, But I shall be back tomorrow at the latest."

Barak and Bryndis arrive back in the meadhall looking a little the worse of the wear from their trip.

Barak takes off his travel gear and cloak and finds somewhere warm near the fire "Well that was a profitable trip" he says to no one in particular "I've got a fine new tunic to wear to tomorrow's feast". To any of his friends who may be around, Barak adds "We saw Algared gong to the clothiers as we were coming back. He is a bit late, he'll have to rush to get there before Vaarin shuts for the day. I am not sure the meadhall can offer him any accommodation, so I hope he took something warm to sleep in."

Prior to Barak and Bryndis' arrival in the meadhall the wind outside subsides from the strong gusting howl coming in from the north west and blows steady from the north. The clouds deepen in colour and as the evening begins to descend a sleet begins to fall upon the thran and its surrounds.

The air outside chills and the evening becomes quite cold and uncomfortable. Luckily for those inside the meadhall the hearth fire and the shuttered windows keeps the chill at bay. Inside the hall remains warm, dry and comfortable.

With the arrival of Barak and Bryn back in the meadhall they quickly move to the hearth fire to dry out damp clothing and warm their chilled bodies.

The sleet continues to fall for the night and the night air is chill, the wind outside continues to blow from the north but the hearth fire is warm. The warband settles in with a warm meal of pork pottage and a few vegetables with some cheese and bread followed with a handful of mixed berries. With your hunger sated your warband is joined by Jabor and his family along with the serving girls.

Chatting about the fire, ale and mead flow steadily and before long Jabor's family is the first to call an end to proceedings, followed by Shella and Gelda, finally Jabor bids each of you a good night before retiring for the night.
