If he's not otherwise engaged and has a fairly unobstructed line-of-sight, Jurri will throw his spear at one of the enemy warriors pursuing the skirmishers. If there are any melee weapons (handaxes would be preferable) lying about from the dead or injured, he won't hesitate to pick them up and toss them as well.

Picking up a nearby throwing spear you launch it at one of the pursuing enemy warriors, with his back to you the spear strikes the warrior in the back he takes a few more steps before collapsing to the ground

[Borygg Raal]

Borygg hollers his thanks to the warrior who stepped in to cover him. As he draws his club, he'll take a quick look around to see if he can spot any weak areas where he can do some good.

With a curt nod the warrior accepts your thanks as he now battles an enemy warrior of his own - scanning the battle line any place will see in the fight

[Barak Daas]

The man wobbles on his feet and it looks as if his face whitens in shock

Barak continues to block with his shield and thrust with his spear. He wants to hold the line and isn't in to taking risks, though he'll exploit any gaps should this man fall. Barak remains silent in combat - saving his breath (plus most of his spear work has been against game animals who don't appreciate his repartee so he has never gotten in to it).

Seeing an opening you thrust your spear towards your opponent, the wounded enemy warrior is to slow to react to your attack, there is a look of horror on this enemy warriors face as he sees your attack beat his shield and now he realises that your spear is about to strike him. Your spear thrust strikes your opponent in the neck. The attack does not look to be that serious but it is enough for the enemy warrior to collapse to the ground

[Algared]

Algared concentrates on defending and holding the line, only striking if gains a tactical advantage.

The enemy warrior faces off against you, teasing you with his mock attacks as you attempt to block each mock thrust. Like a flash he launches an attack at you with his spear, the thrust is only just deflected by your shield. The spear point catching a join in your shields woodwork as you here the sound of wood cracking from your shield.

[Kugald Daas]

Having managed to push his opponent back, Kugald starts to look for openings. He probes and tests his defenses, looking for an opportunity.

He is conscious that this warrior has no one behind him to help. If Kugald can take him out, he will be able to attack the Ibanvaalese on either side of him and break the whole line wide open.

"Kugald! I think we're about ready to have a nasty surprise on our right flank!"

He snatches a brief look to his right and sees the more heavily armored Ibanvaalese lumbering after Kelsi's lightly armored skirmishers.

"We have time. Keep attacking!"

He returns his focus to the man in front of him; Kugald is determined to take his opponent down.

Both you and your opponent wait for an advantage before attacking, your opponent spies his opportunity first launching a stabbing attack against you with his spear. You easily move your shield in to deflect the blow away from you. Following up with your attack you swing your sword in a high arc aiming for your opponents upper body (not aimed just where I rolled for location) but your opponents is able to use his shield to defend against the blow as you sword lands upon the enemy warriors shield.

[Borygg Raal]

Borygg finds a spot that looks weak or steps in when someone on our side falters. If he can, he'll work his way in next to Kugald and help open a hole in the enemy shieldwall

Having just felled one of the enemy another steps into the line to take his place. He stabs at you with his spear but his attack is easily blocked by your shield. You respond with a swing of your club and it is with much awkwardsness that this enemy warriors is able to block your attack

[Algared]

Algared shuffles back when the opportunity presents itself, allowing one of the better skilled Daas warriors to replace him in the line.

Algared steps back but before any of his allies can react two enemy warriors have poured through the hole and the centre of the Daas line now looks to be overwhelmed

[GM]

Kugald has pushed forward against his opponent opening up a hole that he hopes men from Daas will exploit, however, Algared on the losing end of his engagment withdraws from the line momentarily to gather himself, this has opened up a hole in the Daas through which two enemy warriors have entered. The men from Daas have had to stop this hole rather than follow Kugald and breech the enemy line.

Jurri after throwing a spear at one of the enemy warriors now finds himself back in the fight as an enemy warrior moves in and engages him. Vidar maintains his position in the line as both he and his opponent jostle against each other for now neither electing to attack.

Barak and Borygg have nearly stabilised the left flank.

Several of the enemy warriors still pursue Kelsi's skirmishers.

Clan Batheson continue to drive the enemy shieldwall to the rear, several of the enemy can be seen running from the fight. This battle is not over as many of the enemy still remain in the fight, but it is going against them for now.

If Barak has the opportunity he'll finish off the grounded warrior with his spear before meeting the next enemy warrior. He'll start moving down the enemy's line to his right (expecting the 4/5 Dass warriors will engage and take care of the two enemy he leaves behind). I presume Borygg will be engaged with the same man, allowing Barak to have a flank attack. He continues to block with his shield and thrust with his spear. He still isn't in to taking big risks (no counterstrikes). But if he defeats the new man, he'll move further to the right tackling the next enemy from the side or rear.

Thrusting your spear into the prone enemy warriors belly, the spear meets little resistance until you feel the spear hit the ground underneath, a slight gasp of air exits the mans lungs as you apply the pressure on your spear. With but a little struggle you manage to free your weapon before searching out your next opponent

Post amended

Borygg continues to hammer at his opponent.

Seizing an opportunity in your opponents defence you launch a sweeping attack with your club at your opponents head, you club beats your opponents shield and makes it's way towards the enmey warriors head. It would seem the enemy warrior was able to turn his head just at the last minute as your club does little but a glancing blow to his helmet. The enemy warrior is momentarily stunned by this assault but quickly regathers himself as he stabs at you with his spear, with a great lunge his spear points towards your midsection, but you are able to get your shield in the way, there is a resounding crack and when you next see your opponent he has but about 2 foot of the shaft of the spear in his hand

During this phase in which Vidar elects not to attack, he issues a silent prayer to boost Algared's strength (USNARL'S HUG), hopefully sending him back into the fray with renewed vigor. After this, Vidar resumes his attack against his foe.

Withdrawing from the line you approach Algared and with a quick glance to the battle line utter a prayer to the Grey Slayer reciting the words to Usnarl's Hug.

[Kugald Daas]

Now aware he is behind the enemy shieldwall, Kugald redoubles his efforts to take down his opponent. He moves on the offensive, trying to chip away at his enemy's defenses.

You launch your attack with renewed effort sensing your opponents demise soon, with a high arcing attack you sword would have caught your opponent on the shoulder had not he been able to get his shield up to defend himself, there is a dull ringing as your sword strikes the metal boss of your opponents shield. A quick look does not find any immediate damage to your sword but there is a small dent in the shield boss where your weapon struck. Your opponent refuses to give any more ground and thrusting with his spear your opponent aims to skewer your midsection but you are able to block the attack with your shield.

[Algared]

Once out of the melee, Algared checks his helm and thenmuttering and grimacing from his wounds, though not serious certainly being painful, removes his pack dropping it to be retrieved once the enemy are defeated along with his spear and staff sling (reducing his encumbance to 3).

He charges to the right hoping to collide with the enemy fighting the wounded Daas clansmen near Jurri in order to knock the Ibanvaal warrior off his feet. Algared's broadsword will be held in his left and his shield in his right.

Taking off your helmet you give the item a quick look and find that it does not appear damaged, it would seem that your wound was not protected by your helmet. Taking off your pack and dropping your spear and staff sling you draw your sword and ready yourself for action. As you stand sizing up the situation, Vidar approaches and with a quick nod and a smile he places his hands upon your shoulders and begins to chant from a verse you have not heard.

Within moments you feel a surge of strenght flow through your body as you make your way back into the fighting line.

Taking your chance you charge the enemy warrior near Jurri, he does not see you approaching until the last minute as he is tied up in combat with Jurri. He is able at the last minute to shift his body and prepare himself for your charge. When you hit him, he reels several steps but remains on his feet.

[Algared]

While the warrior is unbalanced Algared presses the attack swinging the sword and hopes that with Jurri the warriors defences will be overwhelmed and together they can begin rolling up the flank.

Pressing your attack you thrust at your opponent with your spear but the attack is blocked by the enemy warriors shield, he stabs back at you but you too are able to block his attack. Another enemy warrior joins the fray against you...

[Jurri Grebel]

Jurri will press his attack to help Algared.

With the intentions of helping Algared, Jurri soon finds himself with worries of his own as he now faces off against two enemy warriors, they jostle each other for position right now and only one of the enemy are able to attack you, swinging a handaxe towards, you are able to block the attack while your own attack is also blocked by your opponents shield.

Barak heads in the direction of the centre of the line and tackles the first enemy warrior he can. His tactics remains the same (see previous post).

Barak wants to move into the centre of the line, but with another of his companions downed he finds that the left flank is still somewhat under pressure and moves in to engage another enemy warrior, Borygg follows his lead as they both advance towards this enemy. This enemy warrior gives up some ground as he fumbles to draw a sword from his belt, but you are able to lunge towards him with your spear about the same time as Borygg swings at him with his club, your spear finds it's mark as the enemy warrior grimaces in pain as your spear bites into his left thigh.

Confident that his prayers have been answered, Vidar mutters thanks and praise to the Lord of the Icy Winds, then charges back into the fray.

Moving forward you see one of the members of your warband have a tough time in the centre of the line, you move forward to aid him. There is a smile as you move next to him to provide him some support. Swinging your axe the enemy warrior is only just able to block your blow as your companion thrusts towards him with his spear and the enemy warrior is again able to block this thrust. The enemy warrior jabs menacingly with his spear and is able to catch your companion in the right arm with his spear, the young lad yelps in pain and drops his spear in agony.

Seeing his opponent (mostly) disarmed, Borygg renews his attack, hoping to down him before he can rearm.

The enmey warrior knows he is at a severe disadvantage at the moment and thus gives up some ground as Barak joins you in your attack, he fumbles to draw a sword he has attached to his belt. Swinging your club at your opponent he is able to block this attack, but Barak's attack with his spear is more effective as Barak's weapon pierces the enemy warriors right thigh.

[Kugald Daas]

As Kugald repeatedly bashes his opponent's shield, he begins to get frustrated and just a little concerned about an attack from one of the Ibanvaalese behind him.

He decides he needs to do something about the situation. He shifts his point of aim to "low", hoping to get under his opponent's defences and take him in the leg. This might cause him to stumble and give Kugald an opening he can exploit before someone sneaks up on him from behind.

Kugald swings low at the enemy warrior hoping to take out his legs, his opponent seems up the challenge for now as he is able to block this attack with his shield. The enemy warrior follows up with an attack of his own lunging with his spear towards Kuglad's belly, Kugald is able to block the attack but in doing so the spear point has found a join in the woodwork and the sound of splitting timber can be heard. Kugald's shield while still up the task of blocking is now damaged and not likely able to sustain to many more blows like that one

If Vidar sees that Kugald is about ready to be in an ugly spot, he charges the foe behind him to lend a hand.

While wishing to aid Kugald you find that you are drawn into another battle between and enemy warrior and one of your fellow warband members. You are unable at this time to get to Kugald and aid him

[Algared]

Continues to press in close hampering his enemies ability to wield the longer weapon, and hacks at warriors weapon arm, fighting as against the right handed warrior, hopefully one not used to facing a combatant who is left handed. Algared hopes as he moves to block where he believes the blow will land he'll move as though fighting a right handed opponent and thus leave himself wide open. As he continues to press the attack he yells "DAAAS!', hoping the onslaught after his charge, the flurry of blows, the yell and hampering his opponents ability to use his spear will have the desired effect, enabling him to down this opponent and aid Jurri.

As you push forward against your opponent he continues to give ground or prods at your with his spear to you to prevent you closing. Making your attack against your opponent you are not given the opportunity to attack effectively. Meanwhile, your opponent is backing away, the other enemy warrior (the wounded one) attempts to stab at you with his spear. His attack is wide of the mark and misses.

[ADDITION] Vidar sings a PRAYER TO ELKYRIE, calling for Bronwyne to aid him in his next strike (expend 20PP to help ensure success). He sees Kugald could be in a sticky situation, and he seeks to dispatch the intervening foe as quickly as possible to lend what aid he can. After the PRAYER:

Vidar engages the intruding interloper! "Raaaaaaawr!"

If he vanquishes this foe, Vidar will reassess to see who is in graver danger: Jurri or Kugald.

The prayer time is 25-SI seconds so 25-6=19 seconds. You are tied up all this round and just about all of next round in prayer

[Jurri Grebel]

Jurri continues to fight. As he does, he begins to sing skaldic verses, trusting his skill and his deep voice to carry over the sounds of battle. He'll praise Easlyn and Bronwyne, asking for both aid and inspiration. He intends to distract/startle his opponents while maybe drawing allies to help.

If he's outnumbered, he'll fight defensively.

Ducking back behind your shield you seek it's protection against the enemy warriors. Sensing their chance they both break from the fight and begin to retreat back towards the thran

[Borygg Raal]

If Borygg is able, especially if his opponent goes down with the leg wound Barak just delivered, he will push past the guy and get behind the enemy line, where he will try to club someone from behind while they are occupied fighting one of his comrades.

You attempt to push past the enemy warrior and in doing so find yourself behind several enemy warriors, sizing up your situation you make your plan of attack and prepare to attack the closest enemy warrior. Meanwhile the enemy warrior that you were just fighting throws his arms in the air as he drops his weapon and shield and then drops to his knees in surrender

Barak considers whether he should finish him off, but decides that his wounds might heal so leaves him be. He looks round at the retreating figures and decides to Cautiously follow them instead. He swaps from his thrusting spear to one of his javelin as he goes; and look for the opportunity to use (some enemies fleeing back would be ideal). He hopes Kelsi's men will rally and follow him. He keeps a wary eye out for enemy warriors running from the main group. He wants to end up at the thran's gate trailing the last defenders by around 50ft. [OoC: Though I expect there will be more combat before he gets that close to the gates]

The opporutnity does present itself as it looks as if the whole enemy line is beginning to disengage and withdraw towards the thran. Searching out targets you see one enemy warrior who appears to intent on what is happening elsewhere on the battlefield and so you throw your throwing spear at this warrior. You see your spear strike the enemy warrior in the upper body, but he is quick to recover and now shifts his gaze back to you and your companions.
