Barak waits for everyone one in the meadhall to finish up so that he can help clear up before going to bed.

Eijryk looks at Jurri with a thoughtful eye when told not to overthink it, but then drops it. He finishes his ale and orders another one while he talks to those remaining at the table, laughing and joking with them as if the tomorrow wouldn't matter.

When finished his last ale he asks Borygg "Are you coming with me to the Orbaason clanhouse?"
Then he rises to leave.

Borygg finishes his ale, bids his friends a good night, then accompanies Eijryk to the clan house.

Einar has not been seen all day and it is assumed that he has remained under the roof of clan Jela once again. Algared and Jurri have already left the hall, Algared to return to his clanhouse while Jurri has a performance to give.It is early in the night when Barak finds himself alone in the meadhall. There are only a few customers left sharing an ale with their friends and the staff of the hall are taking things easy.

The companions depart the hall and return to their clanhouses. With the hour late Bjarni and Sigrun are not sure there offer of hospitality still stands and not wanting to impose upon the Nildroms again they ask Kugald if he could put them up for the night. With a smile and a slap on the shoulder Bjarni is told that it would not be a problem and so the three of them make their way towards Kugalds clanhouse.

In the darkness little can be seen of the thran except the glow of lights through open windows, the usual patrol through the thran by two huscarls can be heard more than seen as they move slowly through the market place towards the docks. The usual sounds of the night can be heard as the companions make their way up the hill. Crickets go silent as the warband approaches while a frogs call can be heard coming from somewhere down the hill.

The air is thick and Kugald looking skyward mentions that there will probably be rain tonight.

Eirjyk and Borygg both leave with Kugald, Zeoul and Bjarni and walk with them up towards the thranhold. Entering the thranhold through the gatehouse they are greeted by two huscarls before Eirjyk and Borygg turn and make their way to the Orbaason clanhouse. The companions quickly disappear in the dark as they walk away.

Before the remainder can gain the shelter of Kugald's clanhouse the first drops of rain begin to fall but they are safely inside before the rain begins to fall in a steady downpour.

With his companions gone Jabor takes the opportunity to grab a seat with Barak while he finishes a half full tankard of ale and catch up, but before he can finish his tankard Jabor calls for another jug to brought over, Shella nods her head and quickly leaves the hall to fetch a jug. Stella arrives quickly and places the jug upon the table before leaving the men alone.

Soon Barak can here the first drops of rain sizzle as they strike the hearth fire and within moments the rain has gathered in intensity and become a steady downpour.
